Tony’s® Pizza Launches “Behold the Power of the Square” Mobile Tour
Tony’s® Pizza, is embarking on a summer mobile campaign that brings the fun directly to families in five major cities in the Midwest. The campaign, including a national sweepstakes to win a Nissan Cube, is produced by Brand Connections, a marketing and media agency that specializes in branded consumer experiences.
To encourage pizza-loving families to get squared away with summer fun and introduce the new square shape of Tony’s® Pizza (http://www.tonys.com/home.htm), Schwan’s Consumer Brands, Inc. is embarking on a summer campaign, complete with a mobile tour that brings the fun directly to families in five major cities in the Midwest in June, 2012 — Memphis, TN; St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Des Moines, IA; and Omaha, NE.
“Our new square shape delivers more delicious original crust pizza in every box and we’re showcasing that value, convenience and sense of fun with the campaign,” said says Rhonda Ihrke, Brand Director for Tony’s Pizza, Schwan’s Consumer Brands, Inc.
The “Behold the Power of the Square” campaign includes visits from the Tony’s® Pizza 2012 NISSAN Cube, a bright yellow branded vehicle manned by the Tony’s® Pizza team, local radio station promotions and a national sweepstakes to win a 2012 Nissan Cube. The Tony’s ® Pizza Cube will visit local grocery stores, farmer’s markets and high-traffic areas in each city. Consumers who visit can play two fun carnival-style games, win prizes and get information and coupons. The carnival-style games are “Roll the Pepperoni Dice” and “Square Pizza Box Toss.” Tony’s® Pizza will be available to be sampled in some locations. The campaign is being produced by BCX, a division of Brand Connections, a marketing and media agency expert in branded consumer experiences along with Cannonball advertising.

To share the “Power of the Square” with a broader market Tony’s® Pizza launched a national sweepstakes online and on Facebook, “Score the Square,” with a chance to take home a brand new 2012 Nissan Cube. The Tony’s® Pizza team, masters of fun, will encourage visitors at the local events to sign up online via a QR code on the Cube or by using the Tony’s® Pizza iPads on site.
